Day Eight - Last Day on Maui

We got up on the early side for no particular reason.  Breakfast on the lanai - the usual fruit and banana bread with Kona coffee.  We were at Kapalua Bay shortly before ten for snorkeling and swimming.  It's a beautiful small protected bay with lava rock formations at both ends.  Lots of other people snorkeling.  We saw a lot of the species of fish we had seen at the aquarium yesterday.  No photos, but check out the aquarium site for representative pictures.

We came back home to shower and dress, then headed to Whaler's Village.  We lingered at the Hula Grill over fish and chips (really good beer battered mahi mahi) and two drinks each.  We wandered a few shops, I bought sandals, and we came back to pack up before heading somewhere for a nice dinner.  The lanai was irresistible.  Pat had a short nap and I just soaked in the breeze.  I had to wake Pat when the sun hit his head.  He moved to the couch, where another nap ensued in short order.

I wrote postcards which I hope to mail on the way out of town, but they may end up going out from the Big Island.  We went back to the Aloha Grill for dinner, came back and packed.  Only took a few pictures, at the beach outside of Whaler's Village.  Will upload tomorrow.  The camera is packed!
